Luxury Assisted Living in the Cincinnati Tri-State Area

The Cincinnati Tri-State Area comprises 15 counties. These include the counties of Brown, Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren in Ohio; Dearborn, Franklin, and Ohio in Indiana; and Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, and Kenton in Kentucky. In addition to a large geographic footprint, the area offers a diverse array of senior living options from which to choose.

There are hundreds of communities offering independent senior living, assisted living, memory care, and long-term skilled nursing. The region is a bit more complex than other metro areas because we’re comprised of three states converging each with a different mix of senior living and Medicaid programs. The region does not boast a huge array of luxury options quite frankly and you’ll find a far greater number of upscale middle-market type of communities in the region. One thing is for certain, however, you must have the financial resources because the top-end communities are rarely subsidized beyond your private resources.

What to expect Assisted Living to Cost

According to the Genworth Cost of Care Survey, Conducted by CareScout®, August 2020, the national average for Assisted Living United States is $4,300 per month while long-term nursing home care for comparison averages nationally $8,821 per month according to Genworth.

Assisted Living Locators of Greater Cincinnati sees the monthly cost of independent living in Northern Kentucky ranging from approximately $2,000 to over $4,000. Assisted living ranges between $4,500 and $7,000 monthly depending on care level needs and Alzheimer’s / Memory Care typically falls between $6,000 to $7,000 monthly. Luxury communities will often exceed the top of these ranges and often require income/asset verification for admittance. Many factors contribute to the cost of living in a senior living community such as included meals, amenities, location, care needs, and type of community. An experienced advisor can help families find the best and most cost-effective living solutions.

Luxury Assisted Living Communities in the Cincinnati Tri-State Region

The Cincinnati Tri-State area offers fewer luxury senior living lifestyles when compared to more affluent areas and those located in more traditional retirement hotspots. The most luxurious senior living communities in the region are located in Ohio and look toward the best neighborhoods and areas as you might expect. Generally speaking, the Cincinnati area offers few top-tier high-end luxurious amenity-rich choices, and instead, you’ll find many more mid-level high options. If you’re really into ultra-fancy lifestyle accouterments there are probably other areas within the US to look. Below we listed some of our local “best in luxury” favorites.
